Edward Michael Sandridge III

Artist's Biography (Optional): Born on the Great Plains of Kansas in the late 80s Edward Michael (EM) was adopted by a pack of prairie wolves who took him into their number.  They taught only to shoot outdoors during sunrise or sunset, and the importance of single source key lighting.  EM took their knowledge and headed West to train diligently in the field of cinematography at the Academy of Art University San Francisco.  It was there he learned to wield ancient technology like the Bolex and Arri 435, names fitting for the gods themselves.  They were heavy and metallic and used this ribbon like substance to capture images instead of sensors.  What a strange and wonderful world. After learning about light and film EM received his BFA, the most prestigious of all undergraduate art degrees, and immediately bought a digital camera.  He roamed the streets of San Francisco using his skills with the lens to help people tell their stories. From real estate agents to centers devoted to helping the homeless, from witches to street artists, from queer activists to bartenders EM shot the stories of San Francisco before heading East to film dance and the arts
Artist's Statement: Edward Michael (EM) is a filmmaker and video editor who creates evocative imagery using light, camera movement, slow motion, time-lapse, and music. He/Him believes in the empathetic power of film and photography. EM has dedicated his life to the pursuit of beauty, understanding, and connection through images. He enjoys shooting dance, but is also passionate about filming short stories, documentaries, music videos, and branding videos.

Shaun Laframboise

Artist's Biography (Optional): I’m Shaun Laframboise, the creative director at Right Light Productions. I’ve worked in media production for all my life, even before it was considered my ‘work‘. As a kid I was always the family videographer, a title I continue to proudly hold with my own growing family. For almost 2 decades I worked for a non-profit as I built my own production company. In 2017, I had an amazing opportunity to step into running the production company full time, doing the work I truly love. Based in the glorious Berkshires, my amazing wife and I both run our own small business and are raising our family. I’m thrilled to be doing the work I love in this amazing community. When not behind a camera, you can find me floating on Onota Lake, getting lost in one of our beautiful state forests, or fighting the urge to get a second coffee at Dottie’s on North St.

Edward Pelkey

Artist's Biography (Optional): Studied at Art Students League of America, worked as a security guard at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Had conversations with William Kentridge and Kenneth Noland. Mastered the technique of the Master of the Foliage as well as the Master of the Flying Guillotine. My work is a reflection of the visual and auditory stimulus that inspires me. Comic books, Cubism and Dada.
Artist's Statement: Statement- I consider myself a Cubist painter, although my style is anything but. I am interested in the process of painting and the interaction between materials. To paraphrase Willem DeKooning " I don't think painters have good ideas. What was so brilliant about Monet painting a bunch of haystacks? Nothing." Over the years, I have become addicted to the scent of oil paints, varnish and turpentine. I paint at night using a Miner's helmet.

James Murphy

Artist's Biography (Optional): My name is James Murphy and I am a visual artist from Ireland. I recently graduated in Fine Art and my work has been shown internationally. As a keen observer, my work strives towards reduction of elements. I am a Visual Artist practicing in Cork and engaged by the simpler processes in life. Filtering out the noise in the everyday movement’s around us and capturing the constant. The work that I create draws from the minimalist aesthetic of graphic print similar to the work of Kara Walker but offers the audience the unique element of cyclical movement through the medium of the lens, pioneered by Eadweard Muybridge and the praxinoscope. I am encouraged that my work has been shown and the most valuable thing to me is that I continue to learn and understand my work and how the audience interact with it.
Artist's Statement: Current practice combines the lens and natural movement to form a study of the everyday. It highlights the quotidian rituals that allow a foundation for our aspirations. These video meditations of simple human movement against static objects are rendered monochrome, with intent to return attention to the everyday that has been relegated.
